Developer Marketing Manager

At Sakana AI, we are advancing world-class R&D through unique generative AI techniques inspired by nature. Our research on collective intelligence, model orchestration and recursive self-improvement has been published in Nature, ICLR and NeurIPS, and ships directly into our products. Sakana Fugu orchestrates frontier models through one OpenAI-compatible API, and Sakana Namazu brings Japanese language and business context to developers at a practical price. Both are available through our API and work with the coding agents and development tools developers already use. Our Marketing Team is newly formed and works alongside the Product and GTM teams. This position is the first dedicated Developer Marketing member. It is an organic-first role: documentation, technical content, community, hackathons and events, and the feedback loop back to product. You will own the developer side of our launches, from new platform capabilities to new developer-facing products, working directly with the API Platform team, researchers and developer support.

Responsibilities

  • Own developer awareness and launch momentum for Sakana Fugu, Sakana Namazu and our API: technical blog posts, sample code, integration guides, and the developer sections of product launches
  • Build and grow the developer community: hackathons and developer events in Japan and globally, presence in developer channels and forums, relationships with third-party platforms and tools where our models are available, and user-generated content
  • Improve the first ten minutes of the developer experience: work with product and support on getting-started documentation, onboarding, and the questions developers ask through our support channels, and feed what you learn back to the product roadmap
  • Run the developer side of launches for our API and for developer-facing products, including early access programs and showcase projects
  • Measure what matters, using the team’s attribution infrastructure: signups, active developers, usage through developer tools, event participation and content reach
  • Drive seamless collaboration across global developer communities utilizing both Japanese and English

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of experience in developer relations, developer marketing or technical product marketing for an API, SDK or developer platform
  • Ability to call an API, read and modify sample code, and write technical content that engineers trust; hands-on experience with AI coding agents or LLM APIs in real projects
  • Deep technical understanding of LLMs and generative AI with the ability to engage in peer-level discussions with engineers and AI researchers
  • Experience building a developer community from a small base, in person and online, and comfortable presenting on stage in English or Japanese
  • Ability to autonomously drive initiatives in an unestablished, fast-paced startup environment
  • Native or professional fluency in both Japanese and English
  • Preferred: experience with open-source communities or model hubs; a public footprint (talks, posts, repositories) that developers already recognize

Sakana AIでは、自然界から発想を得るユニークな生成AI技術により、世界に先駆ける研究開発を行っています。集合知、モデルのオーケストレーション、再帰的自己改善に関する研究はNature、ICLR、NeurIPSに採択され、そのままプロダクトに実装されています。Sakana Fugu はOpenAI互換の一つのAPIから世界のフロンティアモデル群をオーケストレーションし、Sakana Namazuは日本語と日本の業務文脈に馴染んだモデルを実用的な価格で開発者に提供します。いずれもAPIから利用でき、開発者が日常的に使うコーディングエージェントや開発ツールと組み合わせて使えます。 マーケティングチームは新設の組織で、プロダクトチームおよびGTMチームと並走します。本ポジションはチーム最初のデベロッパーマーケティング専任メンバーです。オーガニックを軸とした役割で、ドキュメント、技術コンテンツ、コミュニティ、ハッカソンやイベント、そしてプロダクトへのフィードバックを担います。プラットフォームの新機能から開発者向けの新プロダクトまで、ローンチの開発者向けの側面を、API Platformチーム、リサーチャー、開発者サポートと直接連携して進めていただきます。

役割と責任

  • Sakana Fugu、Sakana Namazu、APIの開発者向け認知とローンチの勢いを担う。技術ブログ、サンプルコード、連携ガイド、プロダクトローンチの開発者向けセクション
  • 開発者コミュニティを構築、拡大する。国内外のハッカソンや開発者イベント、開発者チャネルやフォーラムでの活動、モデルが利用できるサードパーティのプラットフォームやツールとの関係構築、ユーザー生成コンテンツ
  • 開発者体験の最初の10分を改善する。Get Startedドキュメント、オンボーディング、サポート窓口に届く開発者の質問について、プロダクトおよびサポートと連携し、学びをロードマップに還元する
  • APIおよび開発者向けプロダクトのローンチの開発者向けの側面を担う。早期アクセスプログラムやショーケースプロジェクトを含む
  • チームのアトリビューション基盤を用いて、登録、アクティブ開発者、開発ツール経由の利用、イベント参加、コンテンツの到達を計測する
  • 日本語と英語両方を用いるグローバルな開発者コミュニティにおけるコラボレーション

応募資格およびスキル

  • API、SDK、開発者向けプラットフォームにおけるデベロッパーリレーションズ、デベロッパーマーケティング、または技術的プロダクトマーケティングの実務経験4年以上
  • APIを呼び出し、サンプルコードを読んで修正し、エンジニアが信頼する技術コンテンツを書ける能力。実プロジェクトでのAIコーディングエージェントまたはLLM APIの利用経験
  • LLMおよび生成AIに関する深い技術的理解と、エンジニアやAIリサーチャーと対等に議論できる能力
  • 小さな基盤から開発者コミュニティを立ち上げた経験（対面およびオンライン）。英語または日本語での登壇に抵抗がないこと
  • 確立された型のない環境で自律的に立ち上げを推進できる能力
  • 日本語と英語を高いレベルで使いこなせること
  • 歓迎: オープンソースコミュニティやモデルハブでの経験。開発者に認知された発信実績（登壇、記事、リポジトリ）
