Video Editor will assemble recorded footage into a finished project that will bring sight and sound together in order to tell a cohesive story.
Responsibilities
- Gather and transfer all forms of media into editing software and ensure each was updated in the correct format.
- Take a brief to grasp production team’s needs and specifications.
- Trim footage segments and put together the sequence of the film.
- Input music, dialogues, graphics and effects.
- Create rough and final cuts.
- Ensure logical sequencing and smooth running.
- Consult with team members and director from production to post-production process.
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
Requirements
- Solid experience with digital technology and editing software packages such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere, etc.).
- Demonstrable video editing ability with a strong portfolio.
- Thorough knowledge of timing, motivation and continuity.
- Familiarity with special effects and compositing.
- Creative mind and storytelling skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- A strong passion for playing and making video games.
- Should be knowledgeable about high quality screen recording on games and application to videos.
