Soya Green Data Center I

Operated by Toyota Tsusho Corporation · Wakkanai, Hokkaido, JP2 srcupdated 5d ago

Toyota Tsusho and Eurus Energy Holdings are building what they describe as Japan's first data centre supplied directly by a wind farm over a private transmission line, on a 9,900 sqm site next to the 42MW Kabaoka wind farm in Wakkanai. Receiving capacity is 3MW. Construction started in April 2026, a pillar-raising ceremony was held on 21 July 2026, and full operation is targeted for 2027. The companies say they will separately consider a next-phase 10-20MW data centre around 2030; that is a distinct future project, not this facility's build-out.
