Metcela Inc. is a pre-clinical stage biotech startup in Japan, developing a cell therapy for heart failure. Though the number of heart failure patients is increasing due to the increasing incidence of lifestyle diseases as well as the aging population, there is no definitive treatment for this debilitating condition. Metcela is working towards providing a clinically viable and efficacious cell therapy, VCF, for chronic heart failure.
