About the Job
As a Process Engineer for our robotic drives, you make sure our motors can actually be built: from the very first sample to a process that delivers the same quality every time. You develop the manufacturing processes for the stators and rotors of our robotic motors. You plan and run trials yourself, adjust parameters, find out why something goes wrong and build the samples our customers receive. Many of these processes are still being built, and you will be the one building them. That means you will not develop processes purely from your desk. You will spend a good part of your time at our prototype line and on the machines. You do not need to have run every process step before, but you should know several of them well and be curious enough to get into the rest. The position is based at our headquarters in Garching and requires regular presence on site.
Your Tasks
- Develop, optimize and validate manufacturing processes for stators and rotors
- Set up, run and maintain prototype machines and production equipment
- Plan and run trials such as DoE, material and parameter studies and evaluate the results
- Analyze process deviations, find root causes and implement corrective actions
- Build customer samples in consistent, documented quality
- Create process documentation and contribute to PFMEAs, control plans and test plans
- Work with Design, Quality and Industrialization to make new motor designs manufacturable from the start
- Evaluate machinery suppliers and quotes and support Purchasing in supplier selection
Your Profile
- Degree in engineering or a qualification as state certified technician or certified industrial master
- 3+ years of practical experience in process development for electric motors or comparable electromechanical products
- Experience in several of these process steps: round wire winding, insulation and impregnation, potting, rotor assembly or electrical testing
- You optimize process parameters and solve process issues independently
- Familiarity with PFMEA, MSA and control plans as well as basic CAD skills
- A structured way of working, a strong sense for quality and real interest in working at the machine
- Experience with prototype or small series production is a plus
- Fluent English skills are required, German is a plus
Your Benefits
- 100 EUR Flex-Budget per month (internet, mobility, vouchers or sports)
- Lunch subsidy for meals on site
- Participation in our virtual stock option program
- Company pension scheme
- FINN car subscription
- Bikeleasing
